The worst of all
possible worlds?

My body of work is a photographic portrait of youth cultures in contemporary British suburbs, focusing on the relationship of the suburban parent culture and the new generation as witnessed on the outskirts of London.

My subjects are pictured during house parties against a scenic backdrop of the suburban world they are forced to inhabit. The images place the reality of my subjects in stark contrast with the staged element of the constructed set, creating a theatrical stage in which my subjects appear as cast, reflecting the disconnect between the youths and the flawed suburban surroundings shaped by their parents.
