Invasive is an ongoing photographic journey through the relationship between the photographer, the photographed and the viewer. This series of portraits of my mother, taken during the year preceding a major operation, reveals the fast transformation of the body and mind. Allowed to intrude into the emotions of both the subject and the artist, the viewer is compelled to feel empathy. It is a way of making the viewer part of the journey and trying to bring dignity back through revealing instead of concealing.
